How to get to your hotel from the airport
-
1) Bus: There a is red bus No S 002 leaving the airport every 30 minutes and going to the center. It costs 3 reals (pay onboard). It goes along the coast . The bus stop is just at the main exit of the airport, cross the street in direction of the covered parking and the bus stop will be just on your right. It should take about one hour to get to the Portobello Ondina Praia Hotel: get off at the second bus stop after the “Largo de Ondina” (ask to the driver to stop there). You can recognize “Largo de Ondina” by the presence of two sculptures at your right, "As Gordinhas de Ondina" by Eliana Kertész, representing two fat women. Note: Entrance is from the back door.
2) Taxi: A regular taxi to hotels in Ondina or Barra would cost between 70 and 90 reals. You will find the taxi stand on the left after crossing the street in front of the main exit. There are also fixed rate taxis at 99 reals just at the exit of the airport on the left (2 companies Comtas and Coometas). It should take about 30 to 40 minutes to get to the Portobello Ondina Praia Hotel. Avoid riding “illegal” taxis.
